From The New York Times:
Finding the Poetry in March Madness
At Loyola, our poetry workshop was energized by our team’s win, not overshadowed by it.

[Webinar] Creating an adaptive course to improve success rates
If you have multisection courses with high DFW rates, perhaps this will be of interest. Realizit is one of several platforms, but the instructor experience with adaptive platforms may be informative. See below:
CREATING AN ADAPTIVE COURSE TO IMPROVE STUDENT SUCCESS RATES
April 12 at 12 p.m. CT / 1 p.m. ET
You wouldn’t think a core course with 1,200 students and 10 instructors could see a notable increase in student engagement and preparedness – and a nearly 20% decrease in the DFW rate – in a single semester.
Yet that’s exactly what happened when Georgia State University faculty Dr. Chris Brown and Dr. Jeannie Grussendorf integrated Realizeit’s digital teaching and learning tools into their Global Issues course in fall 2017. In this webinar, Dr. Brown and Dr. Grussendorf will share:
- The problem they were solving for with adaptive learning
- The faculty’s approach to building the course with Realizeit
- How the course experience changed for students and instructors
- Results and student feedback
We hope you can join us for this 30-minute webinar, with time for Q&A after the presentation!
